Competition Set-up
- Teams will be entered into six ladder leagues, which will run from Sunday October 19th (week 4).
- Teams must arrange their own fixtures and do so by challenging others in their league, if the challenger wins then the two teams swap places in the ladder. A draw or defeat for the challenger results in the ladder positions remaining as they are.
- All teams must be registered on the web site. The deadline for sign-up to ensure a place in the league competition is midnight on Friday October 17th (week 3)
- All players must be members of WarwickSport and the Five-a-side Club.
- The cup will commence towards the end of the first term.
- Teams in positions 1-4 in each league towards the end of term 2 will enter into the Champions League playoff. Similarly, teams occupying positions 5-8 will compete for the Plate. Teams left over will continue with challenges in the six ladders.

When to make a challenge
- Undefeated teams from fixtures played in the previous week can challenge from 11:00 on Sundays.
- All other teams are only permitted to challenge as of 14:00 on Sundays.
- No more challenges are allowed after 17:00 on Sundays.
Restrictions on challenging
- Matches will only be recognised if played between 9am and 7pm.
- No games are to be played after 12 noon on Wednesdays or after 12 noon on Saturdays.
- No games are to be played on a Sunday, Monday, or outside of term time.
- Only one ladder fixture is allowed per team per week. Please ensure a team you wish to challenge does not already have a match arranged for the same week.
- You may not play the same team in successive weeks.
- Failure of either team to turn up results in a walkover for the opposition.
- If your team has been challenged then please indicate this on the website to show that you are aware of the match and can play. Teams must confirm through the web site that they will be attending a challenge at least 12 hours before the game is due to take place, otherwise they forfeit the game (this result must still be confirmed on the web site after the time of the game).
- All challenges must be accepted; there is no excuse for not turning up. Having lectures is not an excuse for not playing.
- If a team fails to attend two challenges in a row then the team will be advised of the
following:
The failure of a team to attend three challenges in a row will result in that team being moved to the bottom of their ladder.
Team Management
- Teams must have at least 5 players registered. Teams that do not have a minimum of 5 players registered within a reasonable amount of time after the start of the ladder competition may be moved to the bottom of their ladder or not permitted to take part in the cup competition.
- A player can only be a member of one team.
- At least one player from each team must make their contact details available on the web site. This is necessary so the team may be contacted to the arrange fixtures in the cup competition. Teams who elect not to make any contact details available risk being excluded from the cup competition.
Friendlies
If one game a week is not enough five-a-side for your team or for whatever reason you would like a competitive game, then you could try to arrange a friendly. A list of teams who wish to be contacted for friendly matches can be found on the Friendly Matches page. If you wish to be included in this list, please edit your team profile to reflect this.
To arrange a friendly match, view a team's profile and find a player that has their contact details available. Contact them and arrange the match directly.
